Worshipful Master's May 2012 Message

Brethren:

I would like to start by thanking our JW Bro. Ken Fields and his team for a most memorable and successful 25th Anniversary Arctic Char dinner. The evening was well attended and highlighted with an excellent and humorous presentation of all things fishy, by our Grand Master D. Garry Dowling.

I would also like to thank Bro. Rob Slack of Slackoni’s restaurant for again preparing an excellent meal. A big thank you to the Acacia Fraternity, and the Demolay for assisting with the kitchen and bussing duties. My personal thanks to all who participated in the raffle to raise money for the orphaned children of the late Ms. Erin Vance. We raised $1000.00 for this worthy cause; and I’m certain it will be most appreciated.

May proves to be a busy month as we will be begin with an Emergent meeting on the 10th to initiate Mr. Sean Downey. Mr. Downey represents a fourth generation member of Carleton Lodge and I strongly encourage all Brethren to come out to support him, his father W Bro. Phil Downey and uncle Mark Downey.

At our regular meeting on May 25th we will be holding our elections and also Initiating Mr. Rafael Ballester. The elections make this one of the most important meetings of the year, and I encourage all of you to attend to support both Mr. Ballester and our future Lodge Officers.

Traditionally our regular meeting in May is for the election of officers for the ensuing year and this May we will also initiate Mr. Rafael Ballester. Elections are one of the most important meetings of the year, and I encourage you to attend to support both Mr. Ballester and our future Lodge Officers; a high voter turnout demonstrates your support and confidence.

Brethren: May also marks the start of installation season. This is the perfect time for you to get out and visit our sister lodges within the district. If you are an officer or a prospective officer in Carleton Lodge, now is the time to get out and meet your counterparts within the district.

In closing I would like to pass on my sympathies to V W Bro. George Wilson and his lady Isabel on the recent passing of George’s brother Randy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I look forward to greeting you in Lodge.
Douglas Dockrill WM

Carp Santa Claus Parade 2011

Carleton lodge was pleased to have a float in this year's Carp Santa Claus Parade put on by the Huntley Community Association. It was a beautiful day for a parade and a good time was had by all.
